Pick Your Coach (aka the Dealer)

Pick someone to keep the card game moving while the baseball game is on. It could be the party host, the most rule obsessed player, the rookie baseball fan, or simply the only one who bothered to read this Playbook.

Deal the Cards

The Coach shuffles the deck and deals 3 cards to each player.

Trade Deadline

If you get a duplicate card you must hand one back to the Coach and get a new one before the game starts

Watch the game

Watch for the events on your cards to occur in the live baseball game.

Earn Points

When an event happens that matches a card in your hand, play one of the following 3 ways:

• a. You get a point. Continue to collect points from the cards in your hand for the the entire 3 innings
• b. You get another card. Set that card aside and the Coach will deal you another one to replace it in your hand. The person with the most played cards at the end of the period wins that round.
• You get a reward. You can use a sweet treat, or any beverage of your choice. “You do you” as they say

Re-Deal

After 3 innings have passed, the cards in your hand are handed back to the Coach and new cards are dealt

The Winner

The Winner: The player with the most points at the end of the game wins. Or the player who had the most drinks at the end of the game loses. It’s all about perspective!

Ante Up

All players must ante up with 5 tokens. Use poker chips, mini chocolate bars or a token of your choosing to play

Deal the Cards

The Coach shu les the deck and deals 5 cards to each player

Trade Deadline

Like the poker game ‘Five Card Draw’, you have the opportunity to discard any number of cards and receive new ones from the Coach before the game begins. However, you only get one chance per hand to make the trade and each new card will cost you another token

Watch the Game

Watch for the events on your cards to occur in the live baseball game.

Play Your Cards

When an event happens that matches a card in your hand, turn that card over. If you have doubles, both get played.

The Winner

After 3 innings, the players with the most cards turned over split the pot.

Reset

The game resets at Step 2 after 3 innings.

Game Set-Up

Each player arranges there cards on a flat surface in a 3x3 grid.

Trade Deadline

If you get a duplicate card you can either hand one back to the Coach and get a new one or hope the event happens twice in the span of 3 innings. House rules apply.

When an event happens that matches a card in your hand, turn that card over.

The Winner

The first Player to get all 9 cards flipped over wins!

Reset

The game resets after 3 innings or after one player gets all cards flipped over.
